Gypsy Wife - Corrected and Reprinted

We're happy to report that we have reprinted Gypsy Wife pattern booklet with corrections.

Thank you to all who got in touch with such kind words about the errors. So many of you managed to get the quilt together without a peep - you clever cookies!

For anyone with an old edition.

  1. I've printed the errata age, but there's an error on the Hope of Hartford block that's not on the page. The center square should be 2.5", not 2". I'm having a blast so far with this!

  2. I have a question RE: Indian Hachet block

I followed the instructions making 4 blocks but only see one Indian Hachet block in the layout.

  3. As I see it, four units make up ONE Indian Hatchet Block.

  4. Section 6, the corrected piece that was 19 1/2 inches, has no measurement. I cannot fit all of the sections. Is section 6 correct???

    1. In the second edition the picture does not look like the errata page above. The 19 1/2" strip (which is the normal 1 1/2" wide) starts at the bottom of the quilt and only reaches to the bottom of the courthouse steps filler block. The strip as shown in the picture (I believe incorrectly) would be 27 1/2" the same as the strip all the way to the right in section 6.

  5. In Section 6 (Second edition) The leftmost square in square with courthouse steps (immediately under the Nurses Cross) looks like it should be a 5" finished block. On page 24, there is no 5" finished block but there is a 5 1/2" finished which I made and it truly is 5 1/2" so is there a missing 5" square in square with courthouse steps on page 24? 5 1/2" finished does not work in that part of Section 6.

  6. I have the same issue with no 5" finished block on page24, should I just do my own for section 6? I have the second edition book. Thank you

  9. I'm having a problem making the last filler block: square in a square 4" finished. Using my 3" finished block, doesn't finish to a 4" finished or 4.5" unfinished block. My email is kaksoset@shaw.ca Thank you
